(Translated from Spanish) During my stay in Parkland she was the first person I remember who was able to give me the help I needed to deal with my grief, this was due to a car accident in which I was seriously injured. When I was seen at Parkland Trauma ED, the pain and confusion were extreme, and I didn't know anyone to ask for help until Monica showed up.

Below, I list the most relevant experiences:

1. In the first moment, she helped me not only in treating my wounds but also in helping me stay lucid and motivated to continue (Compassion and Collaboration).

2. She also helped me clean my wounds and, in particular, the bleeding I had in my nose and mouth that was extensive and did not make me feel comfortable (Accountability, Integrity, and Respect). 

3. She was very attentive to my friends and me (who were in the accident) and helped us find ourselves again amid so much confusion (Accountability).

4. Finally, when my friends and I were stable in the Hospital, she was attentive to our progress and gave us help to resolve doubts regarding paperwork and/or procedures that we needed. (Compassion and Collaboration).
