There was no end to her care and compassion for her patients, their families, and her coworkers, so many losses during these times.
Monica has been part of our team off and on since 2006. She started out as a ward clerk in acute care in 2006 and then went back to further her education to seek her nursing degree. Monica took a position in the Critical Care Unit. At first, Monica was a little worried that she could not be or would not be a good CCU nurse. Monica proved herself wrong, and it was a while before she quit second-guessing herself that this was the right choice. Through Covid, it was a testing time for everyone and it was for Monica also. Monica flourished in her skills and knowledge as a critical care nurse during this time. It was "do" or "give up" and Monica chose to "do". There was no end to her care and compassion for her patients, their families, and her coworkers, so many losses during these times. Every day she went over and beyond and this still continues on. Monica is a leader in her role as a critical care nurse and is a great role model for others to learn from and look up to.
