I am nominating Nurse Monica Limb for the DAISY Award because she truly exemplifies what it means to be a caring and compassionate nurse. From the moment she enters a patient's room, her calm and understanding presence makes everyone feel at ease. Monica consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that each patient feels seen, heard, and cared for. She takes the time to listen carefully, explain everything clearly, and provide reassurance when patients or families feel anxious. Her attention to detail and genuine empathy make a meaningful difference in the healing process. She not only provides exceptional medical care but also embodies the heart of nursing: caring for patients with humanity and respect. I had my husband in the hospital for a foot infection. I somehow lost my shoes when spending the night, and Nurse Monica felt so bad and was willing to buy me new shoes. She was so worried about the whole situation and was helping with the search.
