Monica has been such a blessing during COVID-19. She is a hard worker, a quick learner, and easy to work with. She is a sweet person who helps whenever and wherever she is needed. She is very professional, knowledgeable, and respectful. She is compassionate and delivers COVID-19 protocol with such an empathetic presence to all patients. When patients present to the clinic; many times they are frightened and/or uncertain about the process of COVID-19 but like a true hero, Monica steps up to the plate and delivers excellent patient care. Her dedication is inspiring and is appreciated throughout the Clinic.
Every day, she represents the CIRCLES of Parkland especially during this time of COVID-19 crisis when staff can be intimidated by treating patients who were positive. A clinic had a patient return for EKG after testing positive and recovering from COVID-19. She approached the provider because the MA did not feel comfortable performing the EKG. She informed the provider that she would address the EKG since the patient was already in the room. She spoke with the patient who had been waiting for some time; she informed him that she would be performing the EKG. After the EKG was completed, the patient expressed gratitude for completing the EKG that day instead of rescheduling.
