Monica Ratliff, LPN

Monica works in the endocrinology clinic as an LPN. A lot of our patients are newly diagnosed diabetics, so that is really a lifestyle change in a big way - and it can be scary and stressful. Monica takes her time with every single person. She knows everything about the devices and can help with anything. She often steps out of her lane to help everyone around her. In her free time, she researches ways to help out patients, by finding assistance programs, etc. She's been known to come in on a Saturday to help a patient who couldn't be here during normal business hours. Monica is hearing impaired, but she doesn't let that slow her down - if anything, it helps her connect with our patients on a more personal level. She remembers every patient and their story. She greets every day with a smile, no matter what is going on. She is kind and genuine above all else. I might not have explained it the best, but she fantastic nurse and deserves to be recognized for who she is.
