Monica Stas, BSN, RN, CMSRN

I was really nervous and anxious before I started my first shift in the ICU. I knew this was where I wanted to work but I was terrified. However, Monica Stas created an environment where I was able to learn critical care with confidence. She has taught me with patience and kindness. She understands what a new graduate nurse feels on every shift. She gave and taught me a lot of important information in a simple way so that I could understand it easily. Without exaggeration, I would not be this confident and I am so glad she was my preceptor. She has shown me what an exemplary preceptor looks like and I hope I can follow in her example someday.
