I was admitted for surgery for a severely herniated disc. I had been in excruciating pain for four days prior. I had been treated at another area hospital 3 days previously with a Fentanyl drip for pain. Hackensack Pain Management used a different protocol which was not effective despite numerous requests to nurses and a PA. No one seemed to be listening carefully. The next day, Monika was my day nurse and I attempted one more time to have someone help me. She really listened and came up with an effective solution. My pain was finally under control and I felt I had finally begun to recover. All of my interactions with her were pleasant and professional. Loved Monika.
