I would like to nominate Monika Ringo for the DAISY Award because of the extraordinary care and support she has shown me through some of the most important – and at times, most challenging – moments of my motherhood journey. She has been by my side for the birth of all three of my children, helping me successfully breastfeed each one. Her guidance and encouragement have made a lasting impact on me and my family.

With my most recent baby, breastfeeding has been especially difficult. There were moments when I felt overwhelmed and unsure if I could continue, but Monika never let me give up. She made me feel comfortable in my struggles, proud of my efforts, and strong in my ability to care for my child. She doesn’t just offer clinical support – she cheers me on, celebrates the small wins, and creates a space where I feel seen and valued. She is warm and welcoming, and she always treats me like more than just a patient – she treats me like a friend. That kind of care is rare, and it makes all the difference. Her compassion, knowledge, and genuine kindness deserve to be recognized. Monika is a true example of what nursing is all about, and I’m so grateful for everything she’s done for me and my family.
