Monique Armstrong, you are a Hero!
I have been to over six hospitals and had over twenty admissions with my mother since January 2024. She was diagnosed with cancer. She woke up not feeling the best. Her sugar was over 600. I took her to the hospital; she went from ICU to floor 10 to 8 to 7. The family gave up until I received a call from RN Monique asking me to bring porridge. I took it, and to my surprise, I came to the room; Monique was sitting next to my mom, feeding her. I cried. She educated me on how to give insulin and make better food choices. She gave me pamphlets to take home. She brought my mom back to life. She called the CNA. She cleaned my mom. Monique spoke to her with dignity and was a perfect example of a wonderful nurse she was alive.
We went home. The pharmacy said no medication was sent, and hospice was never set up. I called, but no one answered the phone. Depression again. While in the supermarket, I saw an RN in white struggling alone. It was Monique. I told her my dilemma. She took out her phone and made some calls. The pharmacy called within 30 minutes, and the pills were ready. The social worker called the next day. I am now at the clinic and saw this green paper. I had to borrow a pen and tell this story. Monique Armstrong, you are a Hero! Thank you for restoring Life.
