I had a really traumatic spinal block for my C-section that resulted in a post-dural headache with 9/10 pain. I had a really terrible day with the pain…prior to Monique’s shift.

Monique swooped in and made me feel heard. I felt so cared for. She helped me advocate for myself for a procedure, as well as advocating for me significantly to anesthesia. I definitely monopolized her with all the care I needed.

If it hadn’t been for Monique, I would not have progressed as far in recovery, would not have been able to go home, and my birth experience would have been incredibly traumatic.
