Monique is patient and pleasant while caring for her patients. She greets them in the morning with a smile, telling them she is the nurse for the day, explaining their medications, the plan of care for the day, etc. She remains calm under challenging times, pleasantly and willingly accepts admissions. The other staff have never heard her complain about anything. The unit's regular charge nurse stated that if anyone asked a question about orders, patient care, our floor or anything, Monique always offers assistance. She literally stops what she is doing to help meet the person's need.

Once, there was an issue with a discharge, and the family member was loud and yelling at Monique. She calmly listened to the family, apologized for the issue, and paged the doctor several times trying to get a discharge order. The issue was finally resolved. Monique continued her shift caring for her patients, with a smile, like nothing ever happened. The nurses of 4 West Renal/Urology/Oncology are glad that she is part of their team.
