Monique is the sweetest, kindness, most caring nurse I have ever met. She made me feel so comfortable. She always asked if there was anything I needed and not to hesitate to ask. She brought in a pillow to elevate my feet which were swollen and hurting. When I mentioned I was getting bored, she searched around until she found me magazines to read. She even made copies of word puzzles for me to do to relieve my boredom.
Monique always explained every medication I received, what it was, and what it was for. She was really concerned when my blood pressure was elevated. Her kind voice always reassured me that everything would be ok. She has a genuine care for people and their health. I felt that when first meeting her. I know she will do well in life and also in the medical field. It takes a special person to care for the sick.
We talked about our families and I felt like I had known Monique all my life. Being a nurse is not just a job for her, it's her life. I didn't hesitate when I found out I could nominate someone to receive this award. Monique was the first person I thought of. She is truly an Extraordinary Nurse! She left a lasting impression on me.
