During my stay in the hospital, I learned it was possible to have a spiritual leader visit. Monique immediately put in a consult for the chaplain's service. I was going to be discharged and would not be there when the chaplain could visit. Monique told me she had time to talk and listen if I needed it. She escorted me to a private area and let me talk about my feelings. It can be scary to admit you need help. Long story short, she validated my feelings and acknowledged my decision to seek help.
