Monisgeya has learned and speaks Arabic to be independent in her work and give quality patient care and patient education to our Saudi families.
I would like to take this opportunity to appreciate Monisheya, who has been working under my supervision for the past eight years. I consider her one of the pillars of PICU. Firstly, let me speak in regard to her qualities; she is excellent, dedicated, compassionate, and an expert nurse who is consistently going beyond expectations. She is polite and honest and always completes her assigned tasks, whether for patient care or additional unit-related work. Monisheya handles all the equipment monthly checks for the PICU and is known to roam from department to department if our stock is low in supply. She is very good at making and maintaining a strong network with other departments to ensure a smooth workflow for our unit and patient care. She is also a charge nurse and will follow up on all issues to ensure all deadlines are met, and she will face any stressful situation in search of conflict resolution and patient safety.

She is part of the nursing recognition and retention sub-council and ensures that our unit promotes the DAISY Award. She also created a nurse recognition board and encourages staff and patients to place appreciation letters on it.

A example of her exceptional nursing skills includes her sitting with a patient singing lullabies in order for the patient to sleep and the patient's mother to have some much-needed rest; she always makes sure to be on the same eye level as the patient to do patient education and with simple hand gestures and gives non-confronting explanations on what to expect with all invasive procedures which has helped to ease the anxiety of our young patients and their families also. She has learned and speaks Arabic to be independent in her work and give quality patient care and patient education to our Saudi families.

She is devoted to nursing and will assist anyone; she helps her colleagues complete their tasks and is a role model.
