A patient, who is well-known to be a “complainer,” stopped by my office earlier this week specifically to nominate Monnaka for the help she has provided him.  He noted that he always “comes up here” complaining, so he felt he should tell us about who helped him.

He noted that he has known Monnaka for some time, and even though she has changed positions, she always goes out of her way to help him.  He noted that he was previously homeless and using drugs.  He proudly stated that he was clean for over 30 days, housed, and felt great.  He stated that Monnaka’s caring attitude and willingness to always help played a significant role in his recovery.  He was feeling great, noted a much-improved outlook on life, and enthusiastically stated that he wanted to make sure she was nominated for a Daisy Award.
