Montana listened attentively, made the time, and had a genuinely compassionate attitude, which was very evident.
We as a family would like to give a special thank you, shout out, unit recognition, and hospital recognition to Montana Helling, RN 8 South. She was mom's nurse for seven days while she was hospitalized. Her kindness and firmness were second to none. She listened to mom's concerns and provided comfort measures as needed, as well as an ear to listen to. Every patient and family has their own dynamics, and our mom is uniquely qualified for that, which is why Montana's firmness was needed. Montana was mom's favorite nurse, next to her own son of course. She showed professionalism at every interaction. The biggest thing that we liked was that she was a real person, and you could talk with her. She listened attentively, made the time, and had a genuinely compassionate attitude, which was very evident. She went the extra mile when she didn't have to for our mom. We wish her every success and happiness in her career and family life.

Montana Helling RN extraordinaire! What can I say, we are grateful for your care and support of our mom while she was your patient. Mom can be crabby and sassy - you never missed a beat! You listened when she (or us) needed to talk, you were firm when she needed it, and you did it all with the utmost professionalism and compassion. Thank you for everything you do!

This was not unlike the entire staff, but something set her apart from everyone.

We went from potentially planning for her funeral to now planning her 80th birthday.

Update on mom. She is doing awesome! Going up and down the stairs like her old self, caring for herself like usual. PT is working with her, and we are almost back to normal.

Thank you all for what you have given us back. Our Mom.

With love in our hearts.
