I was hospitalized at Grace Hospital in Burke County for three spinal fusions. I was given exceptional care in all departments. However, there is one RN that I would like to recognize for exceptional services. Her name is Brooke Coffey.
During my stay, I was heavily sedated for pain. Brooke was so compassionate and kind. One night when I was not sleeping well, she gave me a warm bath, shampooed my hair, and made me feel 100% better. She even massaged my feet! How fortunate I was to have such a compassionate nurse!
Recently during nurse leader rounding on the Medical Surgical Unit, a young patient commended Brooke and said of her, "She treats Me like I'm Me".
