Recently, I took over on a patient from Morgan who had admitted the patient for her 0730 C-section. The patient was having her fourth baby and did not have a support person with her as her only family had her other children. Morgan clocked out after giving report and then stayed with the patient through her C-section until we got into recovery. Morgan sat by the patient's head during the surgery, held her hand and celebrated with the patient. Morgan took pictures for her patient and did everything a usual support person would do. Morgan stayed over her shift 2 ½ hours, off the clock, to be there for this patient who had no one to be there with her. We are so lucky to have Morgan as part of our team and I feel honored to work with her.
