I was admitted into the Labor and Delivery unit at Winchester Medical at 38 weeks pregnant. My body refused to dilate by itself, so Pitocin was started aggressively later in the afternoon. I decided to get the epidural when the pain became unbearable. However, it ended up not working, and I unfortunately felt everything. Fortunately, Morgan never left my side and made sure I had everything I needed to make it as comfortable as possible. I went from 3cm to 10cm dilated in 30 minutes, leaving no time for the doctor to be present for delivery. I am beyond thankful that Morgan never left my side as I delivered my baby within 30 seconds of pushing, and Morgan was the only healthcare worker in the room, leaving her to catch the baby. I hope she knows that she is an outstanding nurse with nothing but kindness and dedication toward her patients.
