Morgan came to the rescue of a patient who, while seated in the cafeteria area with his son on the ground floor of Central Interstate, developed symptoms of severe distress including loss of consciousness and shortness of breath. Morgan called for a medical emergency, lowered the patient to the ground and, when no pulse was detected, began initiating CPR. We brought the MERB bag to the scene, connected the patient to the AED which commanded a shock be given, and Morgan continued CPR. By the time the paramedics arrived, the patient was breathing and had regained a pulse. The patient was then transported to Emmanuel. Morgan quite literally brought this patient back with CPR because he recognized early the signs of a medical emergency. I'm sure this patient's son and wife, who were present are grateful.
