Morgan Kasper, RN II

During my recent care of a patient and his family, they spoke with deep appreciation about the exceptional compassion and dedication Morgan showed throughout their loved one's ICU stay. This family described how the patient was intubated, sedated and understandably frustrated by his circumstances – was consistently met with patience, kindness and genuine empathy from Morgan.

Even on the most difficult days, Morgan approached the patient with calm reassurance and unwavering respect. His family shared that Morgan always seemed to have the right answers to their questions and concerns offering information in a wat that was clear, conforming and honest.

What stood out most to them was the way Morgan entered the room each time with a warm smile and a steady presence that instantly eased their worry. Although the patient could not communicate, his family felt peace knowing that he was in the hands of a nurse who cared for him. They spoke at length about how much trust and comfort Morgan brought them in a time of uncertainty.

Morgan's compassion, professionalism, and remarkable ability to support both patient and family truly exemplify what it means to be a DAISY nurse. It was clear her presence made a profound difference during one of the hardest moments of their lives.
