I would like to recognize Morgan Kelley (5West RN) for her outstanding service and dedication. Although Morgan is a new nurse, her skill, compassion, and commitment to delivering excellent patient care far exceed expectations for someone early in their career.

I meet with Morgan at least weekly to discuss her patients, and I’m consistently impressed by her thorough knowledge and attention to detail. She is always well-informed about her patients’ conditions and shares specific details that significantly enhance patient care. I often approach our conversations prepared to offer guidance, only to find she’s already ahead - aware of the information I intended to share.

Morgan is proactive in her learning, unafraid to ask questions, and eager to extend her understanding of unfamiliar processes. A recent example of her vigilance was when she identified a duplicate insulin order - an excellent catch that prevented potential harm.

Morgan is also consistently complimented by her patients and their families. She has a positive impact on them through her attentiveness, attention to detail, and compassionate care. Her presence is unmistakable, creating a calm and organized atmosphere. Patients and families frequently praise her kindness, professionalism, and positive attitude. Morgan is also a supportive team member, always willing to help others and contribute wherever needed.
