Even in difficult times Morgan, your unwavering dedication to patient care has been a source of strength to the team around you.
Morgan is by far one of the most dedicated, hard-working, empathetic nurses I have had the pleasure of working with. Morgan is the first person to get to triage, the first to settle a rescue, and the first to jump in when anything is needed. Morgan is the first person to volunteer for any task-no matter how daunting it may be.
Morgan comes early, stays late (some days I threaten to drag her out!), until all breaks have been covered, until every task is completed. She is dedicated to this department, to the patients and to her team members. Even in difficult times Morgan, your unwavering dedication to patient care has been a source of strength to the team around you.
Recently, Morgan had a patient who received what could be a terminal diagnosis, the day before her birthday. Morgan rallied the ER team together to sign a card, “blow out a candle”, get her an ice cream, then line us up in the hallway. As the patient came back from imaging, we sang Happy Birthday to her. Tears came to the patient's eyes as well as her daughter's. This is just one of the many examples of the lengths Morgan will go to ensure her patients have the best experience.
Morgan is an inspiration to all those around her. Thank you for your exceptional kindness and the positive impact you have made on the lives of the patients you come in contact with. Your commitment to your patients is truly inspiring. You always put the well-being of your patients first. Your dedication does not go unnoticed. You by far deserve this award.
