After ensuring that my son was taken care of, Morgan went to the gift shop and purchased a shirt for me to wear so that I would not be covered in vomit and I could hold my little one to my chest on a clean, soft shirt.
I arrived at the emergency department with my two-year-old son. He had been battling flu and RSV at home for days, and I was unable to keep him hydrated. After not having a wet diaper for 10+ hours, I brought him in to be seen. Morgan responded to help my son once they placed him in a room. He was very weak, listless, and lethargic. He had gotten sick on the way in, and both my son and I were covered in vomit. After ensuring that my son was taken care of, Morgan went to the gift shop and purchased a shirt for me to wear so that I would not be covered in vomit and I could hold my little one to my chest on a clean, soft shirt. The empathy, compassion, and quality care that Morgan gave my family was extraordinary. She checked on my son several times and even asked if I needed anything, even though she was assigned to a neighboring patient area. Morgan deserves to be recognized for going above and beyond even though she works in an area that is in constant chaos. She took the time to extend kindness to me and my son through her actions. When I think of a TMC ER nurseā¦I think of Morgan.
