Morgan Paige McKnew is an exceptional student nurse whose leadership, advocacy, and unwavering commitment to patient safety have consistently distinguished her throughout her nursing education. From the outset of her nursing program journey, Morgan has demonstrated a deep understanding of how to protect and empower patients.

During her senior clinical practicum in the Emergency Department—amid the challenges of a hospital-wide ransomware attack—Morgan remained composed, prepared, and focused. She quickly identified a potential medication error and took immediate action, adhering to safety protocols and preventing harm. Her vigilance and confidence in advocating for accurate documentation, even when it meant speaking up to her nurse preceptor, reflect a level of maturity and professionalism well beyond her years.

Morgan leads by example, supports her peers, and consistently prioritizes patient safety. Her integrity, empathy, and clinical insight make her a true role model and a promising leader in the future of nursing.
