Morgan ran into the room and went into action. She told me afterward she wasn’t going to let anything bad happen to me.
I rushed to the ER with what I knew was either a miscarriage or an ectopic pregnancy. Once I knew the diagnosis and that I’d be having emergency surgery, Morgan was there by my side through it all. I knew God had personally picked her out to be my nurse. She was a sense of calm and strength for me. She opened up about her own personal health journey and just knowing I could relate to someone in that moment was reassuring. I was scared, but her friendliness and bubbly personality helped keep me relaxed. I had an episode in which my blood pressure dropped tremendously, and my body went into shock. Morgan ran into the room and went into action. She told me afterward she wasn’t going to let anything bad happen to me. Once it was time for surgery, she took me up to the OR and didn’t leave my side until they rolled me back. She asked if we could be friends on Facebook and of course, I said I’d love that. Once I was out of recovery and home, I already had a message from her checking on me. When I saw it, I felt an immediate sense of love. Morgan displayed the love of God and of a dear friend when we barely knew each other. We have stayed in contact, and I know we will forever. My mom also said she took the time to go to the waiting room to check on my family and see how my surgery went.

As someone who works in healthcare, in the marketing side of things, I see DAISY Awards given out every month at my hospital. I know what it takes to be worthy of a DAISY Award, and I know Morgan displays every single value. She is compassionate, kind, loving, and everything you’d want in a nurse. Morgan deserves this award!
