I have worked with individuals with developmental disabilities for over 15 years. During those years, many of those individuals have had to be hospitalized. These times are extremely stressful and further made so by medical staff who do not understand how to interact with our population.
Morgan Strouse is not one of those! My staff and I have witnessed Morgan's compassion towards one of my clients who was hospitalized recently. The dignity and love that she exhibited were truly noteworthy. Morgan never talked down to him and explained complicated medical procedures in a way that he could easily grasp. In addition, she kept my staff and I constantly updated during a medically critical time. The love that Morgan shows through her profession is inspiring. The world that we would have if we all took her example!
