My uncle suffered a massive heart attack. I am a nurse and a part ER Nurse, who has never witnessed a patient live through what my uncle went through. Morgan dealt with my uncle's critical state with grace, helping us to feel very involved in his care. Morgan was only his nurse for 13 hours, but she was the biggest gift we could have asked for.
Morgan met us where we were emotionally; we saw the awful turn of events at the end of her shift and knew my uncle was giving us a sign. Morgan stayed late, we invited her in as we prayed over my uncle as his heart took his last beats. She held me as I cried. She showed such empathy in a way that I have never seen. Her empathy was selfless, yet so real. Working with her as our nurse not only eased our grief but also will make me a better nurse, because of the example she portrayed. We all feel blessed and such peace, which is mostly thanks to Morgan.
