Morgan went above and beyond any nurse we have ever met. My husband was admitted for severe pneumonia and was put on a breathing vent for 8 long days. When he started to come to with lightening his sedation, Morgan could tell he was ready to fight for himself. She stayed in his room, coaching him to stay calm and that he would need to show herself and his care team he could breathe on his own. He was able to do this. Morgan made moves by informing the doctor of his breathing and was able to pull him off the vent.
Once off the vent, Morgan would encourage and push him to get stronger and that he could pull through this. She was always on top of his meds, being on time and keeping him comfortable while he goes through withdrawals from all the medications coming out of his system and adjusting back.
Morgan's nickname became "the angel nurse". We really believe she had a huge roll in his road to recovery. She was always there explaining why she was doing what she was doing and how it would benefit him in the long run. Morgan provided the push he needed to get through truly one of the hardest things he's ever had to go through, and we will forever be grateful for her.
