I delivered via Caesarean section and woke up with my infant daughter, who was only a few days old. I was in severe pain. My nurse, Chinchu Vasudevan, came in and did her job by measuring my blood pressure and temperature. After that, she calmed the baby down, bathed her until she fell asleep, and then placed her in the bed. She was compassionate, loving, and empathetic. I felt at home with her presence.
