The following note speaks to the exceptional nurse that Myra is and how important each and every one of her patients is to her. She treats all of her patients with the utmost respect and goes above and beyond to meet their cultural, spiritual, and physical needs of not only the patient, but their family and support system as well. Myra has been an integral part of our team and her positive outlook and willingness to help is nothing short of amazing. She maintains a positive attitude and willingness to go above and beyond in any way possible. Myra is such a special part of our team and deserves to be recognized with a DAISY award.
About a year ago, Christ Episcopal Church in Pompton Lakes initiated a project entitled 'Celebrating God's Presents'. The project is designed to acknowledge to people in our community who make a difference, who exhibit compassion, kindness, generosity or any other quality that speaks of God's love in our world.
Last Sunday I was summoned to Saint Peter's to bless a stillborn baby boy. It was a sad experience to say the least. While talking to the mother she mentioned the loving, generous and compassionate support she was receiving from the nurse, Myra Badai. I spoke with Myra. What a delightful human being! She brought love into the room and took such good care of the entire family that it left a profound impression with the family. It was like the whole hospital was filled with love because of Myra.
Myra will be acknowledged this coming Sunday at both the 8 and 9:30am masses for being one of God's Presents. I am truly inspired by Myra's sparkle and kindness. I would like the whole hospital to know what a gem she is as an extraordinary Nurse at Saint Peter's.
