Myrtle Hunter is very deserving of The DAISY Award. On a very busy night, things were getting overwhelming for me. I was needed by most all patients; one with high blood sugar, another with high blood sugar and high blood pressure, needing to start PPN, and insert NGT and administer medication every 15 minutes. In the middle of all this, I had a new patient being admitted and they were hallucinating. Myrtle jumped in there and inserted the NGT and gave the medications every 15 minutes for the night. Without her, there is no way I would have completed all my tasks.
