St. Vincent Healthcare is proud to recognize Nacole Martello with the DAISY Award which celebrates nurses for their skillful and compassionate care. Nacole was recognized for her willingness to step up for a fellow St. Vincent caregiver in need. When a caregiver’s child was very ill and admitted to the hospital, Nacole volunteered to come in early for her shift so her fellow nurse could be with her child.

"This is only one example of the caring spirit that Nacole shows every day,” shared her nominator. “She is always the first one there to help a coworker. The culture of our floor is positively impacted every day by the Nacole’s actions and attitude!”
