Nam Vo, BSN, RN
Nam cared our family member during his hospitalization following partial nephrectomy for a large kidney mass. Nam provided care for my family member 4 days out of his 6-day hospitalization. I felt that Nam went above and beyond and really cared for my family member and for me. I felt she cared for my family member not just as a job but as a nurse who truly cared and had compassion for her patient. She came into his room to check on him throughout her shift, not just at med times. She was skilled and had an outgoing personality. She smiled and laughed with him and, “made his stay more pleasant and helped his attitude immensely.”
My family member nicknamed Nam, “BamBam” which she didn’t seem to mind, as it became his name for her.
