Nanciann McKeever, RN

I am honored to nominate Nanciann for the DAISY Award in recognition of her extraordinary compassion, clinical expertise, and unwavering dedication to her patients and colleagues. Nanciann consistently goes above and beyond the traditional expectations of nursing care. She is an exceptional resource on our unit, always willing to share her knowledge and support her peers. Her strong clinical judgment and attention to detail ensure that her patients receive the safest, highest-quality care possible. She is also a fierce advocate for her patients, always speaking up to ensure their needs are met and their voices are heard.

What truly sets Nanciann apart is her deep compassion and genuine connection with her patients. She treats every individual as if they were a member of her own family—showing kindness, patience, and respect in every interaction. One particularly meaningful example of her dedication was when she personally purchased dinner for a patient who could not afford a meal upon discharge. This act of generosity reflects her commitment not only to her patients’ clinical needs, but also to their dignity and overall well-being.

In addition to her patient care, Nanciann fosters an environment of teamwork, safety, and positivity among her colleagues. She leads by example, creating a culture in which nurses feel supported, valued, and empowered to provide the best possible care. Nanciann embodies everything the DAISY Award represents—clinical excellence, compassion, advocacy, and leadership.
