After her safe delivery, Nancy took care of the child for 3 weeks and arranged to contact the social welfare office of the area to take care of the baby and mother.
Extraordinary, Courageous, Friendly, Impressive, and drowned by her kindness. These are the very emotions that swelled my mind as I watched what Midwife Nancy did for a troubled pregnant woman whom she brought to the facility, took care of her every need, and ensured she had a successful hospital delivery.
When she sought assistance to bring the woman to the hospital, the woman was heavily pregnant and had not received any form of Antenatal care before. Nancy took it upon herself to approach the pregnant woman amidst fear and protestations from passersby. She was able to convince some men to assist her to take her to the hospital. Nancy was able to convince her colleagues to join her in taking care of the patient's personal hygiene needs, collaborated with the Community Psychiatric unit of the hospital, assisted with the patient's mental health care, provided for her every need, and ensured her safe delivery.

I have always known her for her amazing work character but this one thing she did, touched my heart. When I tried to find out her motivation for doing what she did, she had this to say “When I think of patients, I love to do anything that will make them happy and safe and when it comes to obstetrics, I know that every woman’s life matters and they all need help regardless of their status or background”
