December 2017 Honoree
nancy bolling, RN
I was admitted with severe neurophilic pancreatitis and the pain had me sobbing, even unable to move. It was 3 days before a decision to move me to the IMU was made because nothing alleviated the pain at all. Nancy immediately devoted herself to making me comfortable and hooking me up to a PCA. She never left my side until my pain and vomiting was under control. She was so sweet, caring, and compassionate. She held my hand when I cried and soothed me over the next 17 plus days. She was my nurse often and her wonderful qualities and awesome personality never changed. She even checked on me when she wasn't assigned to me. She treated me like family.
Thank you, Nancy, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
