Professor Nancy Capponi embodies the qualities of a nurse and nurse educator. She is knowledgeable, professional, passionate, understanding, and caring. Her enthusiasm for caring for others and educating others is evident. She freely shares her knowledge and experience with students in a caring, compassionate, and fun way. She turns negatives into positives by encouraging critical thinking and clinical judgment resulting in meaningful learning for all. She energizes and motivates students to learn. Professor Capponi works hard and does so much behind the scenes for the benefit of undergraduate students. This person is the type of educator that I wish I had during my ADN and BSN programs. She is the type of educator that I hope to become.
