Nancy was taking care of a patient in ICU who was completely blind. Her cell phone was her absolute lifeline and she depended on it 100%. At 0730 when Nancy walked in, Dr. A wanted to place a quinton at the bedside in preparation for a procedure. The phone was handed to someone other than Nancy for safekeeping, states the patient.
Fast forward to post-procedure, the phone was missing! The patient was in tears. Nancy searched high and low for her patient's phone before going down to the basement and opening 30 linen bags before she found it! The patient was now crying tears of joy and thankfulness. We need more Nancy's in this world! Even though she didn't lose the phone she went an extra 10 miles to find it.
