Nancy was on her way to work early in the morning while it was still dark. She travels a highly traveled highway and noticed that a car was stopped, and someone was outside of the vehicle. When she stopped, she found an elderly gentleman huddled against the door, pale and not speaking, but with his eyes open, looking at her. She spoke to him, checked his pulse, called 911, and then attempted to wiggle him out of his huddled-up position so she could perform CPR until emergency personnel arrived.
Nancy was able to be there for this gentleman when no one else would stop to assist him. At least in his last moments, he did not die alone on the side of the road. The family searched Facebook (which Nancy is not on) so they could thank her. The family was eventually able to track her down.
