Nancy was working with a COVID positive patient that was really sick and the decision was made to make him comfort care. She spent a lot of time with the patient, on the phone updating and comforting family, and then she held his hand over an hour while he passed away. It was important to her that he didn't pass away alone in an isolation room by himself. She sat in her PPE and held his hand the whole time. It meant a lot to the family and I'm sure it comforted her.
