A specific situation in where Professor Causing made a meaningful difference in my academic journey is when she took the time to teach us, then grade us for check offs, then gave time for me to ask her for a recommendation letter for one of the scholarships I was applying for. She quickly agreed to doing this for me and I know she already must have a lot on her plate, so this was something that really showed me she cared.
