In 2014 I was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre and began weekly treatments of IVIG. My medical condition has left me struggling emotionally. My nurse Nancy always goes out of her way with no thought for herself to accommodate not only myself but other patients as well. No matter if it is as simple as a blanket and drink or rescheduling appointments as well as working with Dr. office on obtaining required paperwork. I consider Nurse Nancy a friend who really cares about all the people who come across her path. I never hear her complain or put her responsibility on another nurse. Nancy is very proficient in her job and of great character and value to Waynesboro Hospital. I live in Waynesboro and Nancy has made the difference not going elsewhere for treatment. Without Nurse Nancy, I believe I would be greatly depressed by my medical condition. She takes time to explain any and all questions I have and will even give the printed information if I don't understand my treatment. On several occasions, Nurse Nancy has come in early on scheduled time off to ensure my care. She deserves person of the year award and I am completely certain all her patients feel the same. Great lady. I have also observed Nancy help all staff around her. I trust her 100% with my care and if any questions arise with other nurses I ask them to call Nancy because she is so familiar with my case.
