At the beginning of my daughter’s admission, Nurse Nancy was the first person to help me feel less terrified and helpless every day. She talked to us in a way that made me feel I'd known her forever. She was very informative and explained everything that was happening and/or being done that allowed me some semblance of control in every situation.

She was able to pick up on the simplest changes in my daughter’s condition and mood and never gave up on finding ways to help. Even when she wasn't assigned to us, she would say hello when she saw us and ask after my daughter's health. After an emergency transfer to the PICU, she came to visit us. My daughter and I were moved to tears as we hugged. She is an incredible and compassionate nurse and an amazing person. We cannot thank her enough for all she's done for us during our stay.
