Nancy is an exceptional IR nurse that is extremely passionate when it comes to her patients and their safety.  IR is a unique unit that provides a variety of procedures to patients from all walks of life.  There are many patients that visit the IR department several times a month to several times a week depending on their condition and needs and become part of the IR family.  Nancy had cared for a patient that required frequent visits and had become close to him and his wife.  Unfortunately, several days before Easter, this patient lost his long health battle and passed away.  Nancy had such compassion for this patient and his wife and knew that the Easter holiday would be a difficult day for the patient’s wife since she was now alone with no family in town.  Nancy invited the patient’s widow to her home for Easter dinner.  Nancy demonstrated unparalleled compassion as she opened her home to a grieving widow who needed a friend.
