M stopped breathing and didn't have a heartbeat. I noticed promptly, pulled him out of the chair, and started compressions. After checking for a heartbeat twice, I knew I needed help beyond my training. I sped up the compressions and did them harder, then ran next door. Thank GOD Nancy was home! Her knowledge and experience took over at that time. We needed her, and she served us freely and selflessly. She is an earth angel!!! When the ambulance left, Nancy drove me to the hospital. At this point, I was in shock and pretty much a numb blob. Nancy stuck with facts when relaying medical details. That's exactly what I needed. She knew this again, but I didn't. I don't have a panic button. However, I've never been in shock before. Nancy recognized this and responded accordingly. M is alive today and only has an open-heart scar as a reminder. Nancy's gifts (off-duty) as a citizen should be shared. I tell everyone. Who am I, though? This awareness would mean a lot more coming from those who have a balance in a healing profession as well as intermingle with humanity! Thank you for the opportunity to share part of our testimony. M has proof in his medical records. His case is rare. However, you will cue in on that more than we will. M had a near-death experience and is now embracing a new outlook with a new attitude, a deeper balance, and more joy, all thanks to Nancy.

Thank you, Nancy, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
