Nancy loves her job; you can see that in her smile as she enters your room. She is a "by the book" nurse but she's creative enough to do something different if the situation warrants it. She gives excellent care and is willing to help at all times. She respects not only her patients but her team as well. She is a truly excellent nurse.

In my mind, excellence is doing your job and doing it well. But if you're a nurse that's not enough. You're dealing with someone who is hurt, sick, scared or in pain. You exceed if you comfort and care for the patient whether it's to be apologetic for giving the shot, or not having a fan if the rooms are too warm. It's the little things that count, by stopping in to say goodnight when your shift is over or making sure your meal was ok and you got enough. I truly felt Nancy was caring for me not just checking off boxes on her list. She made me feel important and special and not as nervous or scared to be here. Thank you, Nancy!
