Since we walked into the center as a patient and her advocate, Nancy has been there for us. She gave us her number and then promised us that we could call her. There were times that we had questions or needed information, and Nancy called us back soon after or sometimes answered the phone directly. She always has answers or could help. Quite frankly, she’s been our most dedicated cancer treatment resource, not to mention how compassionate and friendly she is. 

I suffered a terrible fall, landing on my face on a gravel road, and ended up at a hospital in Radford. We were able to get in touch with Nancy because the radiologist saw abnormalities in my brain. She made it possible for the hospital doctors to get in touch with my Neuro-oncologist, Dr. Low, who compared their scan with my latest MRI and confirmed that he didn’t see anything concerning. I was able to go home. This was considerably past dinner time. We were at the Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center today, and she made a point of coming out to the waiting room, hoping to catch us before we left. I’m glad she did; her hug made my day.
