Nancy Ramos was our nurse and went above and beyond explaining things to us with compassion, patience, and guidance on how to do things with Mom.
We were first introduced to 3FARR back in 2017 when my mom had severe pneumonia. During that time, I was getting married, and Mom had to miss my wedding due to her pneumonia. That’s when we met her nurse Nancy Ramos, truly an angel on this earth. We have had so many beautiful moments with her that I would like to share. Nancy knew how upset my mom was about missing my wedding in 2017, so she went out of her way and got my mom flowers to make her feel better. The pure joy and happiness on my mom’s face was priceless and one small act of kindness just made my mom’s day so much better even though she was in such a bad situation.
In 2021, my mom had a massive stroke, and we had to come back to the floor because of her breathing and heart issues. Once again, Nancy Ramos was our nurse and went above and beyond explaining things to us with compassion, patience, and guidance on how to do things with Mom. After that, we were here in the hospital almost every other month because mom was really sick and each time Nancy saw us, she would come running to us asking mom how she’s doing, feeling very sorry that we have to be here but grateful that she gets to see us.
We are now back again in the hospital, and it’s 2024, and Nancy Ramos is our nurse. Again, the attention she gives to the smallest details to take care of her patients is amazing. Her compassion, kindness, and the way she speaks to the patients, she should really be an example to this hospital on how to take care of and treat patients. She truly acts like it is one of her own family members when she is taking care of her patient.
Today, I heard her go next door to our room and tell the patient, “Are you ok? Don’t worry, you’re not alone. I am always here for you to help you, and I keep an eye on you.” That actually brought tears to my eyes because, again, it shows her compassion, her kindness, and her treating patients as if they were her own family members. I think everybody should take a page from Nancy’s book and learn how to become good, compassionate, kind, and caring caregivers.
