#1  I will start by saying that Nancy is an outstanding nurse. I was very nervous about the procedure I was scheduled for and Nancy took the time to explain, in detail, everything that would be happening while I was in the Cath Lab. I did not ask, she explained without being prompted. Nancy has a friendly, caring demeanor. I appreciated all the attention I received. As soon as I returned from the Cath Lab for recovery, she noticed a slight issue I was having and immediately knew what to do. She did an excellent job of checking on me during my recovery and told me with each encounter what time she would be back to check on me. She did all of this while checking in another patient. I appreciate all the little things she did too.  Making sure I received a food tray and when there was a type of soda that I do not drink, she obtained a Diet Mt. Dew for me. Plus, providing an extra pillow and helping to reposition me in bed. She made sure I was comfortable during my recovery process. She was kind enough to help me dress because she was concerned, I might fall from the effects of the medications received during the procedure. We are so blessed here at Haywood Regional Medical Center to have outstanding nurses like Nancy. 
#2  Nancy Rathbone was so attentive to my husband when he was admitted for a heart cath. She was here to meet, greet, and take him from admission. She was there caring from the time we arrived until the departure from the hospital. One can tell she truly cares for her patients beyond the norm.
